A Michigan girl has been arrested after investigators say viral video confirmed her torching an SUV and sparking an explosion that blew up in her face.
The video confirmed Sydney Parham, 26, of Fraser, being blown backward after which scrambling to her toes after the explosion, which befell Wednesday within the Detroit suburb of Harrison Township, investigators mentioned.
Parham was arrested on an arson cost, Fox 2 Detroit reported.
The Macomb County Sheriff’s Workplace confirmed Parham was the lady seen within the video uploaded to YouTube by PPP_Tahoe, the station reported.
She was jailed in lieu of $20,000 bond.
The video appeared to have been shot from the higher ground of a backyard residence constructing and confirmed a lady in a darkish hooded jacket and a white coronavirus masks dumping the contents of a crimson gasoline can into the again of the SUV.
When she reached again inside, a loud explosion may very well be seen and heard as flames shot out of the car.
Native media reported that the Jeep belonged to Parham’s boyfriend.
The girl suffered minor cuts and burns within the explosion.
“She’s presumed innocent unless proven guilty, like the court said,” protection lawyer Vassal Johnson II advised reporters.
