Douglas, who handed away earlier this month on the age of 103, needed $50 million given away by way of the Douglas Basis, the Mirror reported.
The beneficiaries included St Lawrence College, Westwood’s Sinai Temple, Culver Metropolis’s Kirk Douglas Theatre and Kids’s Hospital Los Angeles, in line with the outlet.
It added that Michael, 75, was not a beneficiary.
Michael announced the death of his father on Feb. 5 in an Instagram post, which included a number of photographs of his iconic father and numerous members of the family
“It’s with large unhappiness that my brothers and I announce that Kirk Douglas left us at the moment on the age of 103. To the world he was a legend, an actor from the golden age of films who lived properly into his golden years, a humanitarian whose dedication to justice and the causes he believed in set a typical for all of us to aspire to.”
He continued: “However to me and my brothers Joel and Peter he was merely Dad, to Catherine, an exquisite father-in-law, to his grandchildren and nice grandchild their loving grandfather, and to his spouse Anne, an exquisite husband.
Douglas was a three-time Oscar nominee, identified for his roles in “Spartacus” and “Ace within the Gap.”
Michael completed his Instagram message by writing, “Kirk’s life was properly lived, and he leaves a legacy in movie that can endure for generations to return, and a historical past as a famend philanthropist who labored to assist the general public and convey peace to the planet. Let me finish with the phrases I advised him on his final birthday and which can at all times stay true. Dad- I really like you a lot and I’m so proud to be your son.”
