Hilarie Burton claims Hallmark fired her over inclusivity calls for: The bigotry comes from the highest

Hilarie Burton is chiming in on the Hallmark Channel controversy with accusations of her personal.

Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Burton, 37, laid into the channel with a collection of tweets after an incident by which she was “let go” following a number of calls for for inclusivity.

“Simply going by means of some outdated emails from a #Hallmark job I used to be “let go” from again in January. I had insisted on a LGBTQ character, an interracial couple and various casting. I used to be well mannered, direct {and professional}. However after the execs gave their notes on the script and NONE of my…” Burton started the collection of tweets.

“… Requests were honored, I was told “take it or leave it”. I left it. And the paycheck. S—-y being penalized for standing up for inclusivity. I actually wished that job. It was near my home. It paid rather well. It was concerning the navy, which you all know I maintain pricey.”

Burton then stated she would stroll away “in a heartbeat” if offered with an identical state of affairs.

Hallmark didn’t instantly reply to Fox Information’ request for remark.

Burton then took the time to reward her husband, actor and “Supernatural” star Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

Hallmark has been ensnared in controversy following the channel’s choice to tug an commercial that featured two brides kissing throughout a same-sex marriage ceremony ceremony.

One Million Mothers, a division of the American Household Affiliation that claims its mission is to “stop the exploitation of our children, especially by the entertainment media,” launched a petition urging Hallmark to cease airing the business and different LGBTQ content material.

Hallmark has since apologized and stated it is going to reinstate the advertisement.
